NorClean ROV drilling vertically down into subsea rock on the seabed

Solution 02

VERTICAL SUBSEA ROCK DRILLING

ROV-based drilling down into rock on the seabed for anchors, bolts and foundations.

ROV-based drilling directly into rock on the seabed for anchors, bolts, foundations and other subsea installations.

The ROV is set down over the drilling point and drills vertically into the bedrock, so attachment points are established in solid rock rather than in loose seabed material.

Vertical drilling and bolt installation in one operation

The same ROV spread drills the hole and installs the bolt, so drilling, bolt installation and grouting are handled in a single subsea operation with video documentation.

NorClean has installed more than 500 subsea bolts across smaller and larger operations, including aquaculture mooring at Flekkefjord and drilling at Vikane.

Both directions from the same ROV platform

Tooling is configured per job, so the same work-class ROV covers vertical drilling into the seabed and horizontal drilling into rock faces.
